Fifteen-year-old Cooper Lutkenhaus newly booked his place in the 800m final at USATF Nationals. He took under 1:50 the previous season, two meets earlier. His father trains him currently. The father works as a coach at Nebraska-Kearney while coaching his son at meets in New York recently. Lutkenhaus remains composed in races in spite of the jump up ranks. Scouts now watch his steady times and quiet focus as he chases higher tracks.
