Marines from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit and sailors serving aboard the USS Tripoli came back to the U.S. on Wednesday. They wrapped up tours assigned to the 5th and 7th Fleets. At the same time, many Marines and sailors stationed in Okinawa returned to Japan after missions tied to the Iran situation. The Tripoli pulled in at its home port in Okinawa, wrapping up its deployment. The U.S. Marines and the Royal Australian Air Force wrapped up joint drills at Dyess under the Trident Fury program this week. In Vancouver, the police marine unit recovered a week-old seal pup that was left on its own.
